“Investigation and correlation of science teachers’ views and practices on inquiry in formal and non-formal learning environments”
Science Teachers’ Inquiry (STI)
The program has been submitted, approved and funded under the «1st Call for H.F.R.I. Research Projects to Support Faculty Members & Researchers and Procure High-Value Research Equipment» (Ref.No. 492/01.12.2017, as applicable) in the Scientific Area “Social Sciences”.
The program initially aims to study pre- and in-service teachers’ views and practices about inquiry in science education, as well as museum facilitators’ views and practices in non-formal science and technology education settings. The program also aims to explore factors that could possibly enhance their intention to employ inquiry activities in formal or/and non-formal science education. Finally, it aims to propose ways of enhancing pre- and in-service science education teachers’, as well as museum facilitators’ inquiry practices.
The program is implemented by the “Science and Sustainability Education” team at the School of Education of the University of Western Macedonia, in collaboration with AUTH and NOESIS.
We will gradually update the website with the program’s activities, publications and deliverables.
